| Low vision services help serve patients with partial loss
of sight. Individuals requiring these services often have congenital or acquired
sight reducing conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy,
stroke and glaucoma. A diagnostic low vision evaluation will indicate
if prescribing low vision aids would benefit a patient. We may prescribe
low vision aids such as electronic video magnification, telescopes, microscopes
or low vision rehabilitation. Fortunately, utilizing their remaining vision
to its fullest potential can help most patients. This allows for patients
to achieve a more appropriate level of vision performance for their occupational,
vocational and personal needs. |
